Supple nose of black fruit and herbs. Ripe, juicy fruit across the palate with good underlying acidity. Some gentle spice and herbs flavours. Velvety tannins and a long, smooth finish

A dark red colour red wine. Red fruits and toasted aromas. Good balance between tannin and fruit. Full bodied, harmonious

Chateau d’ Angludet
Sweet, fleshy, well rounded palate with velvety tannins to support the abundant flavour which is both ripe and fresh. 65% Cabernet Sauvignon (10% more than usual) and low yields

Domaine Trignant de Boisset
Bright, deepest ruby colour. A touch of oak. The palate is rounded, easy, plump and gentle with a nice concentration. Subtle tannins and a generous finish. Perfect really.

L’ Hospitalet de Gazin
The 2004 exhibits dense sweet mineral tannin and a dense texture along with attractive sweet cherry and blackberry fruit interwoven with notions of truffles and liquorice

Chateau Pedesclaux Grand Cru Classé
On the nose, one finds aromas of ripe fruits, spices and vanilla. On the palate, the attack is frank, the mouth presents a superb black fruit  concentration. Tannins of one surprising smoothness appear on a dense and long structure.

90/100 Robert Parker. A pleasant fruity weft, presenting a fine length that will charm you withits delicacy and its voluptuous side. Primarily very discreet, the wine opens out with note of the maturing process, such as pepper and wild vanilla and then aromas of red fruits dominated by cherries.

Pata Negra Valdepenas Gran Reserva
This wine is made in the traditional Rioja style but using French oak. This fine example of mature Tempranillo is soft and mellow, with an easy nature. There are hints of strawberry and vanilla on the palate and a very long finish
